5th String Bar Chord to 4th String Bar Chord.

Here’s two tricks to increase your playing versatility.
– Firstly, here is a way of looking at the fretboard so that you can quickly change a 5th string (A formation) bar chord to a
4th string Triad which is One Octave Higher.

-Simply move any 5th string Bar Chord up the fretboard to a 4th string Triad leaving a Four Fret Gap.

– Take the F Bar Chord for example:

– Secondly here is a way of looking at the fretboard so that you can quickly substitute a Triad for a 5th string (A formation) Bar Chord.

-Simply move any 5th string Bar Chord down the fretboard to a 4th string Triad leaving a One Fret Gap.

-Take the F Bar Chord for example:

**It is Important to Note**: You can change any 4th String Triad to a 5th String Bar Chord simply by reversing the arrows in the
above examples. Simply remember the Four & One Fret Gap Rule.
